If you like motor, the Commercial Vehicle Show was the place to be.
Spanning across 3 days from the 24th to the 26th of May, the NEC Birmingham hosted the Commercial Vehicle Show, specialising in haulage, logistics and fleet. Known in the industry as the biggest event to attend, the show brought together industry specialists from across the country. And with over 10,000 attendees, it seemed busier than ever.
From manufacturers to support services and innovators to trade organisation, each stand had something different to offer. With giveaways and games going on throughout the day there was always something to see.

We spoke to thousands of business owners, fleet, and transport managers from all sides of the country about their insurance needs and how we can help ensure they have the right policy in place.
The Logistics Challenge at the Commercial Vehicle Show
Testing Time. Challenging coordination. The Safe and Insured Logistics Challenge pitted attendees against one another, competing for the quickest time and a prestigious place at the top of the leaderboard.
The challenge, for those brave enough to take it on, consisted of:
- manoeuvring a tipper to safely deliver its cargo,
- stacking oil canisters with a forklift truck, and
- delivering stock to a specific location using a crane.
Prizes were on offer. Companies took on competitors. Colleague challenged colleague. But, in the end, there could only be one winner.
With an outstanding time of 31 seconds, winner Darren from J Y Auto Electrics remained unchallenged at the top of the leaderboard for two days. Well done, Darren!
